Riddle thanks Winter for sending him an "interesting announcement of The taming of the shrew" and expresses hope "Miss Leslie will not overdo the mounting of the piece" (most likely a reference to the 1903 Elsie Leslie production that combined Garrick's Katharine and Petruchio with the induction from Shakespeare's original). Riddle also mentions his lecture on "The decadence of English speech." Written from 6, Arrow Street, Cambridge. With envelope addressed to William Winter.
